“Eah Jé” Swedish artist! Won a Grammis for newcomer of the year!

Eah Jé Sjögren, known simply as Eah Jé, born on 1 February 2000 in Johannesburg, South Africa, is a Swedish singer and songwriter. His music first gained attention on TikTok, and his track “Beroendeframkallande” later topped Spotify’s charts. The song is part of the EP En liten låtidé. At the 2024 Grammis Awards, Eah Jé was named Newcomer of the Year. That same year, he was also awarded Future Artist at P3 Guld.

Biography
Sjögren’s mother is from South Africa, and the family lived there periodically before moving to Gothenburg, where his father is from. He began writing music at the age of nine, during his parents’ divorce. His unusual first name, Eah Jé, is partly inspired by the Mesopotamian god Ea, and partly by his aunt Jeanette, who passed away at the age of 19.

Sjögren translates to Seabranch and, its his last name!
